From Junction 6 of the M5 motorway, the hotel and inn is located a further mile off the A4538 (Sign-posted by a brown hotel sign, near the new eastern Park and Ride facility).
Besides offering sumptuous home cooked cuisine and a range of excellent hotel accommodation, over 700 functions take place each year.The pear tree caters admirably for corporate events to suit, offering full conference facilities with extensive car parking.
Fine cuisine in style
Newly refurbished in 2008 to top quality modern design, the pear tree is noted for its excellent a la carte menus together with a fine selection of bar meals.
Catering for all tastes, Chris, the antipodean chef, together with his team of 8 staff prepare a wide range of exquisite dishes.
From delicious starters main courses, and desserts, each dish is a creation in itself. The ever popular Steak evenings are held each Friday. However, for more traditional tastes, fish and chips, grills, and balti's are all mouth-watering choices.
Themed events such as Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day and even St George's Day, are hugely popular, and not forgetting of course, the traditional favourites such as Christmas and New Year.
The mouth-watering 'Trio Sizzler' incorporating Bison, Reindeer and Ostrich, is an ever-popular choice.
Tender succulent meats are served with freshly sourced ingredients and local growers provide vegetables such as freshly picked Asparagus.
For those who fancy something really different then the truffle soup or wild mushroom ice cream are to be recommended.
A wide variety of entrée’s and desserts are offered, all at competitive prices and menus change each quarter.

A warm and inviting a lá Carte Restaurant
Traditionally and comfortably furnished to include romantic lighting, the restaurant offers a new a lá Carte and wine menu. Launched in April, the menu comprises dishes, which are freshly prepared on site.
Wherever possible, produce is locally sourced. The new menu has some seasonal favourites as well as 'something different' offering traditional favourites and some with an exotic twist.
The Chef is currently offering complimentary mouth-watering tempters and tasters to customers dining in the restaurant. These are aimed at tickling the taste buds and assisting with one's choice of dishes.
From the moment the customer is seated in the restaurant, they will be presented with an 'a muse' (a taster) which will be a selection of homemade vegetarian caapés.
After the entree, there are complimentary refreshing homemade sorbets followed by the main course. As a final touch, the Chef is offering a complimentary homemade truffle for those customers who order a hot beverage to complete their meal.
The new wine menu has been extended to cater for the demand of tastes from across the world and now features a more seasonal selection, plus extended rosé selection. The Pear Tree Connoisseurs have also been updated to include some good quality wines at reasonable prices.

The superbly comfortable 24-bedroom en-suite hotel offers ground floor-disabled access, and satellite TV, with full room service. Facilities offered are: Internet access, direct dial telephone, and tea and coffee making facilities.
